What Are Acerola Cherries?

Acerola is a fruiting cherry-like shrub which is native to Mexico, Central America and South America. Our vitamin C powder is derived from 100% ripe acerola cherries which are sourced from Brazil. We concentrate 13 pounds of raw acerola into one pound of extract, in order to create a potent and pure powder that is ready to be used. There is at least 10% vitamin C present in each and every serving, which means that just 600mg (around 1/10th of a teaspoon) will give you your RDA of Vitamin C in a highly bio-available form.

What Are the Health Benefits of Acerola Cherries?

Acerola cherries are believed to be one of the richest natural sources of Vitamin C, and they contain over 50 times the vitamin C content of oranges. They are also rich in B vitamins, potassium, fibre, folic acid, carotenoids, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid and antioxidants. These nutrients play an important role in helping to strengthen the immune system, regulate metabolic processes and aid digestion. Recent studies reveal that acerola may also help to slow down the release of sugar into the bloodstream, and thus regulate insulin and glucose production.

Why Choose Hybrid Herbs Vitamin C Powder?

  • 100% Natural: Our vitamin C powder is made from pure ripe acerola, just as nature intended

  • Food-Based Source of Vitamin C:The powder is derived from fruit, which means it’s more recognisable by the body and easier to absorb

  • 13:1 Concentrated Extract: A highly concentrated and potent extract powder

  • Carefully Prepared: No heat is used when dehydrating the fruit, and the powder is freeze-dried to preserve its nutritional content

  • Ready to Consume: Simplyadd to your favourite drinks or sprinkle onto foods

How Do I Use Vitamin C Powder?

Our vitamin C powder has a delicious, sweet taste and it can be added instantly to smoothies, juices and teas or sprinkled on foods. To start off, add around 500mg to your favourite drinks or foods, and then gradually increase the serving size to around 2 grams daily. Our vitamin C powder can also be added to a variety of dishes and recipes including jellies, jams, sauces, dips, desserts, energy balls, raw chocolates and more.

    complete form of Vit C

Posted by liz oke on 19th Apr 2016

This is the fourth product I have my son on, who is severely autistic. Reading literature on the benefits of Vit C, most people are probably disappointed with the results if they have tried it from a "regular health food supplement" (as this only provides a small spectrum of the true Vit C profile.) This product from hybrid herbs comes from a natural source and therefore contains all the elements of Vit C, and therefore all the benefits. This christmas we watched friends and family fall foul of a nasty cold going round, but my son who takes this, just had a sniff and a bit of a runny nose.

As a product, it doesn't dissolve as well as all the others, but this doesn't at all make it difficult to take. Another top product, well worth putting to the test.
