Medicinal mushrooms are rich in protein, Vitamin C, D, B2, B6, fibre, copper, pantothenic acid, selenium, manganese, niacin and folate amongst many other health compounds. The combination of coffee paired with medicinal mushrooms provides a healthy cuppa minus those coffee jitters.
Each of the medicinal mushrooms add their own unique health benefits to the blend:
Reishi: Nicknamed the spiritual mushroom, reishi contains over 36 nutritional compounds. Its adaptogenic properties mean that it can work with the body’s current state of health to help restore balance.
Chaga: Also known as the mushroom of immortality, this superstar superfood contains a whopping 215 nutritional compounds. It also one of the highest natural sources of antioxidants in the world, and contains twice the amount of antioxidants than goji berries.
Turkey Tail: One of the most studied medicinal mushrooms around, turkey tail contains over 18 amino acids and a wealth of vitamins and minerals. It also contains are rare compounds called polysaccharide-K (PSK), which supports immune health, and helps the body to rejuvenate and heal.
Tremella: Tremella has tremendous beautifying qualities, and it has been shown to stimulate the production of hyaluronic acid which in turn promotes plump and supple skin.
Lion’s Mane: This is the only mushroom to contain two rare nerve growth factors (NGFs). These NGFs play a crucial role in supporting the nervous system and help to provide neurological nourishment.
Maitake: Highly-prized in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Maitake has been ingested for its health benefits for over 2000 years. From a TCM standpoint, maitake mushroom is believed to help to support the functioning of the immune system, reduce inflammation, and increase vitality.
Shiitake: This super shroom contains copper, zinc, potassium, magnesium, vitamin D and all eight essential fatty acids. Several compounds in shiitake also display anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antiviral properties.
Agaricus: Agaricus mushroom contains compounds shown to support the immune system, reduce inflammation, and strengthen bones.
How Do I Use Mushroom Coffee?
